I'm leaning towards buying a CA M15 Tatical Carbine. But one of these days I'm going to want to get a 4 sided all metal rail system. I've been looking at redwolf.com and I need some help. I am looking at the G&P SPR A / RAS KIT for M4A1 / M16A2 Series and need to know if that will fit on a CA gun.
i'm kinda new at this so i may be wrong, but from what I've seen after researching my own problem (seen m15 ris/spc thread) it should fit. the kit looks like it replaces the entire front assembly of the gun, barrel and all, so there shouldn't be a problem getting it on correctly. If you were going to buy a ris system without a replacement barrel and whatnot, then there would probably be a problem since the m15 barrel is kinda big. I've read that the mosquito molds ris can fit without MUCH modification. So can CA's own ris of course, but it won't line up with the top rail of the gun. Also, you may want to ask some of these people if getting that particular kit would work without internal modification. The kit looks like it'll extend the inner barrel from m15TC to m16 length. Not sure though, but don't you need to mod the gearbox when you extend barrel length?

I will be puting an SR-25 kit on my m-15 soon I will let you know how it goes. as far as the gearbox mods for longer barrel, I have ran systema PSG-1 barrel in all the long arms I own and never had a problem with them.
Well this is fun  . I was playing around on redwolf again and I came upon their "bite the bullet" section. I was reading this article on batteries and it said a couple of things that I'd like to get a second opinion on. The full report is here and pay close attention to the fine print in yellow and the chart. Those are wear the my questions come from.
first thing, i've seen redwolf screw up on a lot of the info they give so careful about that. Their battery issue for example, has some stuff messed up in it. THey say that the mah increases rof which is wrong. I dun hav an answer for your other questions though other than that the ca m15 is pretty upgraded as is. golfpride told me that if you wanna keep it stock (about 310 fps), you don't need to do anything to the mechbox. He also said that the new motor is really good so you might wanna hold off on getting an eg1000. You can basically just add a spring (up to pdi 170 or m120) and you'll be set. If you really want to up durability though, I've read you might wanna replace the tappet plate, spring guide, maybe the piston/piston head, and maybe the hop up unit as it tends to break. Hope that helps.
