Op Blood Money, November 13, 2005

This is what I have so far...

Oh yeah, I almost forgot, all the CIA operatives will be played by admins, as we will feed "information" to the special forces players and lead them into hot spots. The opposing general will also be played by an admin and will also feed "information" to the guerrilla players, helping them engage USSF. By coordinating between CIA operatives and the opposing general, we can control the action on the field and make sure that the troops engage each other by assigning them missions. Thanks for the idea, Borden! :)

Sounds cool.

sounds great sofar. so if this is borden's idea why don't he make more??

Can I get a rough count of how many admins can help work this game? I'll need one who can play the general of the guerillas and I'll need at least 3 that can play CIA operatives. General will not get much field time. CIA operatives will only be delivering groups of US Special Forces to hot spots and probably won't get much gameplay in either. Would appreciate any help I can get. Thanks.

Count me in, as long as it's not the Nam field - or deer season is over-.

I was thinking of the Nam field, but November 13th. Is Deer season still in full swing by then? If so, I can always move it to the Yuba Hill...

depends on what ZONE it is in. Most of them start in sept... end in oct.. for general hunting.

Thanks Steve it looks like we're in zone D-4 which has the dates Sept 24- Oct 30

This is growing pretty fast. I didn't expect this many signups within a couple hours of posting the game. Hopefully, people don't whore up the registration thread and use the team forums like they're supposed to.
Sep 27, 2005 7:05am
limits on registered users?
Sep 27, 2005 3:27pm
I dunno. Up to you guys. I wasn't going to place a limit, but I wasn't going to annouce a free for all either. The main thing I'm worried about is the ratio of USSF vs. Guerrillas. We've almost got a 2-to-1 ratio right now. Need more guerrillas.

It's not necessarily that heavily "scripted" per se. But what we're going to do it keep it organized. Typical large game:

Coolio, I like the idea. That was always my gripe about a large game. Eventually it just falls apart becasue not enough people working together.

One concern i have is that one an admin leads a team out there, he returns, which leaves a whole of players out there running around aimlessly.
Sep 28, 2005 4:26am
all that stuff aside :)
Sep 28, 2005 4:37am
They're starting to get on my freakin nerves. They don't get it. The way the game is designed, THEY'RE NOT IN CHARGE. The admins are their team leaders and we move them on the field.

Kev, Dustin (Dycropts) just im'ed me with a slight problem with your new forums. which i confirmed with makin an new account to try it with. any user can see your team forum posts if they are listed on the top 10 on the front page.

Borden's idea may be a little more manageble. At least it allows teams to stick together, and it's a little more simplified. I can tell from experience of having to organize work events for over 150 people, the simpler it is the smoother things go.
