It's not pot metal, it's fiberglass. You won't see a TM G36 break like that. And it's a toy.

i think the marui is thinner plastic and would have done worse in the situation i was in.

well i would say the ca bodys would have more a chance of cracking due to the matrial, even tho it is thinker, the material seems to be more brittle.
