I don't see why not. I've compared some knockoffs to the real deal stuff and honestly, I can't tell the difference. The material is extremely similar, the craftsmanship is similar. In fact, I'll even go so far as to say that the craftsmanship on some "name brand" tac clothing/gear is sub-par. (5.11 being one of them. After really getting a close look at some of their stitching, I opted to pass.) Blackhawk stuff is made in Korea, Taiwan and China where, surprise surprise, a lot of the knockoffs are made! I've got a vest that I compared side to side to a Blackhawk. Same material, same craftsmanship, same manufacturing country. Is it possible that they are the same thing, the only difference being that the Blackhawk model has a tag sewn into it once it makes it into the United States? Considering that my uncle in Hong Kong manufactures clothing that Calvin Klein, Banana Republic, J. Crew, etc... all buy and slap their own label into, I wouldn't rule it out. It doesn't mean I won't buy the stuff. I've got a pair of Hellstorm SOLAG gloves that I just got a couple weeks ago, just because I like how they feel. I looked around for something comparable, but there really weren't any. But if it works and it costs less, why not use it? I'll bet that's how a lot of the "gov't issue" equipment is awarded contracts. Their stuff worked and they charged less than the next company. Then, once they're "official", they mark up the prices for civvies because it's "what the gov't uses."

I whole-heartily agree with you neo. i've stated in pasts posts about the BHI Omega drop-leg knock-off that I bought in Korea for $17.00 and a three mag pouch for $11.00, took it to Ft. Polk,Sri Lanka and Afghanistan and they both work great to this day. There's some good quality low price gear out there. Cheaper than Dirt has some really good stuff for low price. I'll bet I save hundred's of dollars when I deployed by shopping around. I only had one problem with a knock-off, sent it back and got my money back.

Well OK, I may have just pulled that out of my ass, but I could have sworn that TAC FORCE was released for airsoft??? Just like those Black HANK Down vest, LOL.

i dont see y they wouldent be used for real steel? my tacforce vest compared to blackhawk stuff the only difference i see is the logo on the vest.

Its just when you Google TAC FORCE, you get lead to a crap load of airsoft sites..... The vest doesn't carry a heavy load, so I guess it would be fine for the real world. The only things I would probably be worried about is the "drag handle" and possible tearing of the mesh portions (pretty common on replicas).

i like that, gear whore, then i'm probably the biggest dang whore of them all!! i've got so much that the wifey told me to either take it to the unit, or get rid of it!!! sometimes i don't love her too much :lol: :lol:
