hey i was wondering if accesories were more looks than they actually are useful. i love the look of flashlights and lasers and stuff like that, i was just wondering if they were overrated? i am thinking about buying a flashlight foregrip and red dot scope for my MP5, but was wondering if it was actually worth the money? any help is appreciated.

reddot is nice to have and it provides the same func as a laser without giving away ur position, at night atleast
o, ok, thanks for the help. ya i wasnt really sure about the laser, because i played with a guy at AZ that had a laser; and it totally gave away his position. ya i think im going to go with the red dot... especially since nightferret just gave me a sick deal on a scope mount :D thanks for the help.

That would be me :D and yes you are correct that a laser dose give you away. because you know someone is looking at you, but they could be pointing it at you from any direction, becuase its only a dot on a wall so it could be originating from anywhere around that wall. Anyway i agree that red dots are better choice becuase they have a non projected site optic. Although! inside AZ i would not suggest a red dot. I have seen many get a BB through the lense, and that my friend would be a serious downer. Also if it not a illuminated red dot, or the person is not in some light it will be useless becuase you wont be able to see your target in the scope. Hope i helped. Laser is actually gone, now its a Guarder Red Dot with cantilever mount...but i still have a ICS PEQ2 with laser but more so its for the battery.
ya that AZ game was fun :P thanks for the help too. i think i am going to go with a red dot, but what is a good, cheap, red dot? and yes, i have definately worried about getting my scope cracked or damaged, and was wondering if there was some type of net or mesh covering for it. i think i have seen people at NAM using some red dot with mesh covering on the lenses so that they wouldny get damaged; i think they were aimpoint's but im not sure. thanks for the help. i will hope to see you at another AZ game; hopefully i will do better :?

Depends on the person. In my opinion, airsoft guns aren't accurate enough to justify the use of sights, especially with the presence of any wind at all. I tend to just point the weapon and pull the trigger a couple of times.
Lights can also be usefull during the day.
