I think it'd be an awesome project to try to make an AKS-74U like the one used in Battlefield 2. Any ideas?

i am pretty sure that redwolf sells a conversion kit like the one in the picture. it is probably pretty pricey, like the one at AEX, but i think this one is the exact replica; and i also think that it is not that expensive. just go browsing on some websites and im sure you will find something. if not, then a custom project is always fun :P

Does a RDS like the one on this gun even exist? I've never seen a scope like it. Ever.

i found a pic on google of one on a real ak-100, just type in "RDS for AK", then click on the pic of the guy aiming upwards with a black AK, click on the pic, pass by the conversion kit pic, and go down to where they have 2 smaller pics under the conversion pic, click on the one with the guy aiming the gun while looking thru a scope...and there my friend, is a real RDS.

If it were me personally I would buy a TM AK-47S version and buy myself a Star AK-74 magazine from AEX and then buy yourself a Beta Spetznaz front block/Krinkov flash hider and finally a side folding stock and call it good. Or you can always buy the Guarder AKS-74U kit which will kill your wallet.

I am sure you can find a Beta front block somewhere out in cyberspace. Just ask Kevin (Neouser), Shawn (Snoopy) or Ronnie or Chris from AEX and I am sure they can steer you in the right direction! I think it would be very cool as a CQB toy though! I know alot of AK fans end up buying real steel version accessories sometimes due to the inexpensiveness of the parts versus paying through the nose for airsoft brands. Plus the real steel accessories will last alot longer as they are more durable.
