Airsoft at the fair
well, today i went to the yolo county fair in woodland, to just chill and have fun. while i was walking around i saw a sign for a shooting gallery. i went up for a closer inspection, and to my shock, they were using airsoft guns. i thought "o man, ive got to try this". so i went up and saw that they were using kwc (or kwa) m9 GBB's, and TM AK's. the deal was $3 for 10 shots at 6 targets with the m9, or $5 for 6 shots with the AK at 6 targets. so anyway, i went up and asked to shoot the m9. he loaded the clip with hfc134a and handed me the gun. i fired a shot, and to my surprise, it went about a foot below were i was aiming (at about 20 feet away). so i thought "no hop up" and aimed a little higher. this time the shot went to the left and down a little. i thought "this gun sucks". so i emptied the mag and only hit 3 out of the 6 targets; sadly. so i figured i would try the AK, and sure enough, it was a great TM gun. shot extremely accurate, and fairly fast (was in stock form, im sure). i ended up missing 2 and went home a loser. but, this was a hilarious experience that i had to share with everyone; and it also taught me to never buy a kwc, or kwa m9. or.... they just rigged the handgun so you couldnt win. but either way, next time you go to a fair, look out for the airsoft shooting galleries.

lol, ya i agree. i thought it was a pretty good idea. just dont know if you would make any profit after buying gas, bb's, and renting a booth, but it a good idea. and, it would be a great way to promote airsoft.

$5 for 6 bb for the TM AK? I am sure if sacairsoft organize a booth like this again. In no time all the money for the guns, bb, gas, renting booth will be back. Safety is an issue that needed to be solve.
Would use an AEG with the hop up turned all the way down. But you would probably have to rebuild your gun after the fair or at least the California state fair. Also you would have to think of prizes. And the last thing sac air probably wouldnât be able to host it since we are strictly non-profit. We would have to get a business license and then insurance because now we are a business hosting structured events in public.

Yeah I can only see it now. News 10 special report, deadly BB guns floods fair. 5 year old shoots 3 year old sister point blank in the eye for calling him a poo poo head. The deadly guns were supplied be a Sacramento Airsoft/AEX (donât know what one) for participating in the target-shooting booth. Representatives from Sacramento Airsoft/AEX denied to comment when we asked why they gave a 5 year old a deadly weapon.
