Responcible airsofting
hmm interesting debate i sympathize with the people at EG to an extent as i recall this bickering took place when AZ was first initiated to the forums. However as they have been planning these games in the non sac air events i see nothing wrong with what they are doing, if you feel concerned about safety or uncomfortable with the envirornment in which they play then i would highly suggest simply not playing at there field. There is no need to shoot down and flame the EG field/players in general if you have an issue might i suggest taking it up via pm with the people who run the events there.
agree, its in non sac air section, but i o understand it gives airsoft a bad name if something happened.

just as support for why i say this is in Folsom we have one of these little greenbelts going through a neighborhood and kids used to play there and I always thought that is a very bad idea. they said that folsom PD didnt care, but a few months ago they did, they confiscated a kids gun and some other things. they got off lucky.
Since this is a bit of a debate I've got to speak up here. I think the issue of the EG field, and the posting of it's events on SacAir is somewhat different than the AZ issue. The EG field is a concern because of potentiental publicity involved. At AZ you are playing in an enclosed environment where the only ones who would get hurt are those who agree to play there. You will notice that in your forum only a limited number of SacAir players post there. Those who feel that AZ is unsafe to play can simply avoid it, and it's forums with very little impact on the sport.

yeah, though i wouldn't do it i think that this is a (temporarily) free country and if people want to try their hand at that field than by god, they have every right to. just know that you will be punished severly if you are caught lol...
I HATE CALIFORNIA!
yeah, but you wont find airsoft too big in other states, other then georgia...maybe alabama...heck any southern state!!!
honestly specialforces islucky he didnt get shot. Think about it, your a cop, they train for a situation involving life threats. your told there are people with weapons moving around near some houses so you get there and see someone holding a rifle... can easily happen. If im not mistaken the neighborhood your playing in is a lot like the one discribed above.

In all honesty, I think the chances of someone getting shot at an organized airsoft event by a cop is fairly unlikely. I mean, it's one thing if someone is running around by themselves with a gbb or even an aeg. The cop is going to view them as a potential threat. But let's look at it seriously, what cop is going to think that a group of 30 or so teenage and up guys shooting at each other with "assualt rifles" with no sound of gunfire is anything but a game of some sort. Obviously we've still got to worry about confiscation, bad publicity and such but I think getting shot, at a game at least, is incredibly unlikely.

I have to disagree, California is way tight, minus the gun laws, nevertheless, its way tight.

I keep hearing from people that they don't fallow the mistakes of their previous generation, which is a really good thing.
Ya california rocks. I have no need to own a full auto ak or ar. The weather rocks, some of the best tracks in the country(laguna), beautiful women, um....other stuff! Better gas prices than some places.
