A bouncing betty is designed to pop up into the air and explode about waist lvl, so the prone person would actually be happy because the burst of whatever would be feet above the head. Also if you are thinking that crawling over the mine would spring it, well there were two types trip wire and toe popper style. trip wire, which would be the easiest to make into airsoft, the mine is a couple feet away from the tripwire. Toe popper style the person steps on it and releases the catch, once they step off of it the mine activates. The betty was designed to disable a group of people not kill one, if it popped up while the person was over it, the point of the mine would be lost.

Land mines and anti personel devices are a really good idea as long as they are extremely safe in my opinion the picture of the toe popper with tape holding the cylinder in place is a risky item even though you have used them a billion time and they havent failed there is still that chance that a co2 cartridge will take off like self guided missle.isnt worth the fun of the mine.

that idea was from a paintball trap thats been around for a while anyone who PMed me interested in it sorry I cant explain it, I had to figure it out from a picture of a pball one. I had no part numbers just picked similar shaped parts and made mine.
