i have a ics m4, and for those of u that dont know, the outer barrel is a 2 peice design. im asking to see if there is a conversion out there that is one of the halfs of the outer barrel. i want one of these so ill be able to convert my gun from a m4 to an m733 with just changing the outer and inner barrel. quick conversion for playing at az as apposed to a field.

so if this is what you want to do be careful as any cut other than straight across will throw the BB's off consistently.

?????????????? the inner barrel is the same across most AEGs. Metal tube with a hole for the hop bucking to poke through.

i know that i would have to changet tha inner barrel as well, but that only takes 5 mins, if that. let me add to my first post. if i had that shorter front end, i would just add a iron sight to the front of it, and just switch the tip back and fourth. so the total coversion time would be about 5 to 7 mins. pretty good i think for a on the spot conversion. plus y couldnt i just but a smaller barrel. if i want them to, aex said that they would cut it and everything, but they would have to install it to see how much needs to be cut. kinda stupid havnig to pay 10 bucks for something that would take me 5 mins......

I'm not trying to call you wrong, I'm just trying to give him correct information.

Don't cut your inner barrel. I'm very adept at cutting them and even I won't do it anymore. I use a tube cutter to get a straight cut, then I use a dremel to deburr it, then I crown it very carefully by hand. Even then, it's not as precise as a new barrel, so I don't waste my time doing it. Just go buy a tightbore if you need a shorter barrel. Or if you can't afford one, see if you can find someone to sell you their stock 300mm barrel for cheap. (Speaking of which, I just put a KM barrel in my M733 and have a stock one laying around. Hrm.) I would opt for the Systema BS tightbore, though. You'll find that it's well worth the money.
