Sniper Rifles
Anyone using a Sniper Rifle. I was wondering if someone could give me a no BS assessmnet on how good a high quality airsoft sniper rifle performs, if possible give me some idea as to how much range I can expect out of one. Also let me know if they constantly break down and any other pluses and minuses they have. I just want to know if I should get one. I have an ICS MP-5 and I would love to augment it with a longer range weapon.

I should rephrase, I am on the internet looking at sniper rifles for sale and I am curious what someone who has one thinks about it. How far can you shoot accurately? How durable are they? How are the best rifles powered? I appreciate the help anyway.

what do you guys think about the psg-1's? I'm not sure whether to sell or keep...

Forget the PSG-1. Just too heavy. The real PSG-1s were never meant to be sniper rifles anyway.
I dont care so much about weight, I want good accuracy, out to one hundred yards wow! Will the psg 1 do that

this one does, shoots about 540... It was a friend of mine who had it built, just picked it up w/a gun bag two hi-caps, and two 10.8 batts. Has an sg-1 buttstock to fit a larger battery...
I think McMillan makes the M-24 stock and I know they are costly. Would any look alike stock work?

Does it still look like a standard psg 1 or does it look like its military side kick the msg 90, 100 yards really?

Carrot made one called the Alligator. Looked like a OD McMillian A2 or A3 IIRC.
What kind of glass does it have on it?

have any of you played at the old field out in Lincoln, back when our team was called specwar, my co-worker/friend Shane had it built up, put like 1300 bucks into it, and wasn't charged for any labor. I think it was was kind of excessive, but it proved me wrong. I never thought an aeg could have accuracy/range like that...
How loud is that psg-1, would I have to worry about drawing attention to myself if I were to wack a cat at my nieghbors house? :twisted:

Most folks here frown on shooting animals with upgaded airsoft guns. Stock guns annoy them. but to risk an injury that would leave the animal cripled or simply dieing slowly in pain is just wrong.
psg-1 that gets out to 100 yards...that's fucking tight.
What's a signature?
evrything in this gun has been upgraded, the only reason I got this gun for 200 is because he lost interest in airsoft and became ecstatic with dirtbikes...

About the cat.... I was using a cat as an example, I would never shoot a cat with an upgraded airsoft sniper rifle, no matter how many times it went do do in my flowerbed, I have asked it nicely to stop and yet everyday there it is, I just dont understand the problem. I have considered contracting the job out a professional, anybody know someone that can speak to this cat for me? Or maybe someone could point me in the right direction of a good hit man so I dont have to pull the trigger myself, lord knows I dont want to personally infringe upon its civil liberties.

I just went outside and I saw that little bas@#!$. I tried to make peace with him one last time. I am still waiting for word back from the UN regarding peace talks between myself and the cat, Kofi Annan my come to help. :? So anyway getting back to sniper rifles, I have learned that a good upgraded sniper rifle can hit a target out to 100 yds. What type of shot groups are we talking about? Right now I am leaning towards a bolt action. Any other info?
