Piston Heads

Sep 1, 2005 11:32pm
Hey guys. Im gettin a new piston head for my SR, Ive herd(from andy) that metal ones break gearboxes and that sometimes the polycarbs with bearings come apart. So as of now Im thinkin about an Area 1000 polycarb(w/o bearing). I just bought a gaurder enhancement set for it(new cylinder, double 0-ring head, polycarb piston, nozzle, and a amulinum head im not using), and a G&P 7mm bearing mechbox. Any thoughts or suggestions?

I've never had a piston head come loose. I like the Systema Duracon with bearing. I either loctite or superglue them, depending on whether they're plastic threads or metal threads.

Thanks man. Does AEX carry the duracon head? Is that the one on the webiste or is it different?

Yep, AEX has them in stock. It's the black plastic one with the bearing on it. Systema. Good stuff.
