Battery and charger ?

Jan 5, 2004 8:16pm
I am sorry if this has been discussed before, but I bought a " Duratrax Intellinpeak Pulse Charger" from Airslpat.com and was wondering how to use thing to charge my M4A1 Sanyo 8.4V 600mAh NiCd and I also bought the "NUN Chuck" battery as well? I did read to not use the Nunchuck battery without removing the fuse? Newb question? :?:

Hey man, I have the exact same charger myself! Duratrax makes pretty decent electronics from what I have had in the past with my RC Cars and such. I would charge any Ni Cad batteries at about 5 to 6 amps max and NIMH batteries at no more than 3 amps. That's just me though.

Thanks, I will check it out further :?:

Rule of thumb for charging- AMP rate = 3xmah. i.e. 600 mah = 1.8 amps set on the charger (NiCad). NimH AMP rate = 1.5xmah

Sorry, one more thing? I am charging this battery and the thing keeps beeping and the light is blinking. I was reading the directions(online), because my charger did not come with them and I do not know when it shold be completed? The battery and charger are not warm, so? Thanks in advance.

if its beeping then its prob done. Its not warm because it has an auto cutoff feature (most likely) and once it goes into that feature, the batt cools off and it charged at a very low amp, like .2-.3 amps. your batt is prob done...

Thanks, so these batteries charge pretty fast? I was kinda bugged if they would take 12-16 hours. But, if they do, oh well, I'll just have to buy more bateries.

lol, no, it wont take that long with a good charger like you have. Should take 2 hours MAX. should really take around 1 hour for a big capacity battery.

if your charging a 600 mah battery then it will take prob 10 min to charge

How long do these batteries last? Hours, minutes? Or for that matter, how long do batteries last in general?

depends on the mah. the higher mah, the longer it will last.

I have this battery,9.6V 1900mAh "Nun chuck" Battery (NiMH) This battery lasts 2-3 times longer than a normal NiCad! Only fits in M4A1 handguards.

yes 9.6v is too much for a stock gun to handle, wait to intsall the shiot...remove the fuise, and then u can use a 9.6
