Build your own ghilli suit

Found this while surfing the net tonight and figured i'd post it up incase anyone was looking to make or buy a ghilli suit.

i bought one of those kits 2 years ago... it works really good. i just need to put some BDU base on it.

might want to turn the jacket inside out so that you can use the pockets. didn't read the whole thing so it may have addressed that. also, if you turn it inside out you can shoegoo some have material i.e. canvas with some old sleeping pad cut to shape so that as you do your creep you don't get scraped up as much. looks pretty good though, think i'll go back and read it. oh, also get the o.d. suspenders from gary owens sportsmen's guide to use those for holding the trousers up. also put the canvas/padding on the legs.

Yup, def need to turn them inside out so you can use the pockets, and use shoe goo for attaching canvas or whatever on the contact surfaces so the suit doesn't get ripped, and you are insulated from the ground.

hey squirell, what class were you in? army or marine? i went s/s in 90. had a couple of 82nd guys with us. it was a quick course in saudi then we had some more training at camp pendleton prior to heading south.
