Please help with my new custom project.
Ok so I am going to be buying a G&G gr-16r5 and I know that the internals are REALLY bad so what do I need to do to the gun to make it shoot 400-415 fps. I want this gun to be REALLLY NICE so I dont really kare how much I spend as long as I dont go over $1,000. So if you could tell me what I need to upgrade in it and what brand the upgrades are that would be helpfull.

I have had nothing but problems with my last G&G. But, I do hear good things at times about them. My UMG now has a problem qwith the motor, so I'm switching to a systema long type high speed. I think the 11.1 lipo killed it... As far as the G&G r5, change out your gears if needed, and add a prometheus tight bore. The motor should be changed next, to a systema or alternate hoigh torque. Then try a 130 spring if you don't mind binding once in a while... I just sold a G&G R5 with 440fps rating that still has an ROF of about 1200... What you want to accomplish is do-abkle in many variations... Discuss your questions via PM's with neouser, he can help with your quandaries and also install and provide parts at a very very reasonable price...

the motor running with the 11.1 only runs about as fast as it did with an 8.4. it wasn't your fault, G&G makes motors for shite
the gears itself should be fine, i've used it in other guns/gearbox

i agree with thedean though...i'd avoid g&g. they're somewhat overpriced imo. with the cheap metal bodies out now, there's no reason to get a g&g that has crap trademarks and internals that need to be reshimmed from the get go.

i got an aps2 before i left for college. it was dave's/airsoftbum's. thats about it. if you want me to contact 888 about the firefly buckings, give me a pm. i actually need one for my aerochamber. he doesn't list the things he has in stock all the time. he has stuff sometimes that he keeps private. but otherwise we should stop hijacking this thread lol.
