UTG MP5
The UTG Mp5 showed up today. Everything about it is simply impressive for the money. I paid $130 shipped from airsplat. The box is almost exactly like a marui box, the gun feels the same as a marui, and the finish of the fore-grip feels much better than the marui.
Nice! I'm almost convinced I want one now... :)
Gun control is not Crime control.
I really like the UTG MP5 as well. It's one of the best buys for the money. These "underdog" companies are coming out with very competitive products. I had the chance to go into an SRC M4 tonight and I can honestly say that I would buy one. But that's for another thread. This one is about the UTG MP5.
The only correction I would make is that the mags should hold 240 rounds.
Great Feeling gun, It's a great deal.
how much can you upgrade it with such a weak motor?
if you try to fail but you suceed which do you do?
[quote="sardonic"]Hmmm,
if you try to fail but you suceed which do you do?
I have a TM with the EG700 in it with a m120 in it shooting 385fps right now (upgraded 2 years ago)
ooo i was informed that an Eg 700 was to weak to pull back an m120 thanks for the info
if you try to fail but you suceed which do you do?
haha no im using a 8.4 with the m120 in it only the is that the ROF is decreased a bit, but not too much.
man mp5's look so awsome and its looks like ther reliable guns
you can pay for school but you cant buy class
how much can you upgrade it with such a weak motor?
alright thanks. i was thinking of getting one of these but i read that people who were upgrading it that it just wouldnt work but i guess they were wrong.

Used the gun all day today at the Hill. Put probably 1000 rounds through it and it held up just fine.
[quote]One of my few complaints with this gun would be the 3-prong flash hider. It's one of the few parts that are different from the Marui version, threading into the cocking tube instead of the front sight. It makes it a little more difficult to modify it for a standard aftermarket one, as most of them screw into the front sight. The large plastic orange one is not quite compatible with most of the QD accessories for the normal MP5 flash hiders. One can always retrofit the gun to take a standard 3-prong flash hider with a little bit of work.
i heard all you needed to do was to put a CA/TM front sight on it and it was good, but maybe i misunderstood
so its worth the money? cuz i found a site that still sells them, with and extar mag. And I'm thinkg abou buying it

I second that, really worth it. i paid $130 shipped from airsplat. If you order from airsplat don't forget to check the cupon codes.
i just got into airsoft and i purchase the UTG MP5 for 120 with shipping from shortyusa.com and i love it.. i upgraded the spring so its shooting 365 and rewired the wiring to the full stock so it can fit my 8.4v 3600 mah battery. I just played a night game at cpb and i loved it. AEX said i could make it shoot 400 but i would have to upgrade the motor. but other than that im satisfied.
granzyman -- What spring did you put in there? How many rounds did you fire? I was planning on keeping mine stock, for indoor cqb, but i might just upgrade it. I'll probably buy another one anyway.
mike.. i dont remember.. i took it to AEX so i dont know. i shot about 2000 rounds so far. but if you upgrade the spring youd want to upgrade the battery.. and if you upgrade the battery you need to rewire it. or get another mini. id sugest the rewire. i got the upgrade for the spring, rewire and a huge batter for like 120. so the gun and all its upgrades is now a totall of 240 for a upgraded UTG which is the stock price for a TM. so im happy. im buying a 3000 round dual drum for it tommorrow hopefully so that will be sick.
granzy , im not sure where i saw it but someone here is selling some drum for only like 110 , but i dont rember details about , nor what gun is compatible with

Either way, you can't go wrong with a $130 AEG. Also, since everyone has nothing but positive comments, it's worth the money.
