Limited lifes?
Has any work been done to work out limite life scenarios?
Sit tight my friend. I'm in the process of putting together Mil Sim scenario/game to run in November (after Op Blood Money). It's goal will to be much more Mil Sim than most folks are used to. In fact any input in terms of ideas and gameplay you may have are welcome, PM me. There will be some constraints such as SacAir FPS limits, but the game mechanics will be very different. I won't appeal to everyone, but I'm mainly aiming for the folks who want a more realistic game.

This is how we ran it in lincoln. each person got 3 lives per game. we got about 4 games in a day plus a hamburger hill at the end. There was cheating at some points but mostly due to confusion. everyone seemed to be verry happy with it. I thought it worked well

great deduction there Watson, but some do play by honor, thus the reason for having the Lincoln field...
Wasnt it tryed at the Lincoln Field and it didnt work.

Limied lives is cool! i just think that when you do a game like that you just have to watch the time. because if you get "out" early it stinks to sit out for an hour or so. then guys get too cautious and the game play gets slow. Which is kinda cool too. Nothing gets my heart racing more than trying to be stealthy knowing that the other guy is doing the same. It is in game like that where na team that works together will kick ass. The guys that usaully run solo get hit early since they have noone to help them cover and or keep an eye on thier six.

We can try couple limited lifes scenarios game, let see how it turn out. I'm in for sure...
I'll throw up some peliminary game details next week. If anyone has suggestions PM me. I've kinda got an outline of a scenario, along with the game play mechanics that will appeal to those looking for a MilSim type game. I've spoken to a number of people over the last two weeks who have shown an interest.
No, not next week. It will be after deer season and after Op Blood Money. I need time to get it finalized before I roll it out, plus I'd like a little more feed back from those looking for a MilSim. I'll tell you more on Sunday.
elimination! ONE LIFE......would Rock!!

I think just having the respawn far enough away from the objective would work. But Then everyone complains that the respawn is to far. Sucks to be out early in the game.
yeah it does, been there a few times when we did limited lives.

I always wonder whether my aggressive style is wrecking it for other airsofters who want to play in a more milsim style. I hope not. I think it adds to the game to have a few players who are inclined to rush, and others who are inclined to play a more defensive game, or a more hide-n-seek/cat-n-mouse game. Yes, I get shot up a lot every game... but it gives everyone more opportunities to make a kill, it allows me to get into unlikely or unexpected positions that are forward of the lines, and it changes the lines and who owns what real estate more frequently, which makes for a more dynamic experience and reduces the likelyhood of stalemates.

I think if done right mil-sim is kick ass. When we went to ord for that cimmerian game that was my first taste of a mil-sim game. The first half I only shot maybe 300 bb's, which usaully I would have shot an easy 1500-2000 bb's. Why because we had to hold an objective like the simultion asked for and noone came near us. The second half fricken rocked, bodies everywhere, i forget the respwan rule on that,
