no, each shell holds 30 rounds, and every time you pump it 3 rounds are loaded from the shell and fire when you shoot. the shell only ejects when its empty. not quite as realistic as wed like, but it does create a spread at a short range.

if you want a more realistic shotgun, i heard the Maruzen M1100 is gas powered and shell ejecting, shooting 3-5 bbs at once at a decent range for a scattergun.
