It's time to move to Alaska....
i see a few things wrong here,
Just so we are all clear. I belive all people are intitled to their openion. I belive that our country and our first ammendment right is based on open debate. without debate a people are not realy free. It is only in a free country where I can place my openion against yours in public forum and let all others decide based on what is presented to them what they want to believe. Without having the otherside of a argument presented to you you can not make a educated desicion.
the point of having the maltia was to protect the people from an over bearing goverment . having a govermet controlled guard and police force kinda defeats the purpose.
going back, are militias still effective? compared to national guard or our police forces.
So besides my brother and I. who else participate in political debates at high schools on behalf and sanctioned by their respected politcal party? let me tell you four 90 min debates in a row realy gets frustrating. Please dont throw the democratic partys official talking points at me. you will get owned!
Ill toss you something...I always thought that the republican party has for the most part been small government/ less bereaucracy...I feel over the years this has changed. I feel that with the introduction of Bush II as president the government has been attempting to get into our lives more and more ie, Terry Shivo and right to die laws in Oregon, stem cell research, Roe V. Wade, Patriot Act I & II, etc.For some reason the bush admin and this conservative governemnt of ours has taken it upon themselves to but into PRIVATE lives and right to die issues..(ie Terry Shivo)even though STATES such as oregon has constitutionally pasted legislation allowing people to die with dignity (through VERY stringent protocols). The beruaucracy of government is growing out of control, and to top it off his reliogous beliefs are finidng themselves into legislation that effects everyone..sorry for the unorganized rambling...
You just got killed by a Daewoo Lanos...How You like me now?
first off i just want to say Kahn has made some excellent points and I'm just soaking them up, great intelligent stuff that i think a lot of people need to hear. there are too many people who have succumbed to the "guns are bad" mentality. at Folsom High School browsing the NRA website is banned because of, and i quote the server "guns/violence". the same is true with the sacair website. Yet you can visit any website pertaining to gangs and drugs, or any other special interest group. I found that outrageous.
the unorganized rambling is good. thats what we need atleast its your thoughts and not somthing that you read in a news letter or saw on TV. dont get me wrong I disagree with alot that Bush has done. However the War is not one of them. It is often that the left willattack everything a leader from the right does regardless of its merrit. as far as the patriot act goes there are ups and downs to it. as far as border control goes bush has failed.
Ok, here is my Republican/Military/yada/yada/yada view point:
Ok Ronin, KNUCKLE UP!
However the War is not one of them. It is often that the left willattack everything a leader from the right does regardless of its merrit.
They are disagreeing with the action...meaning they don't find the action to be one of any merit. While, yes, they take their stabs where they can, they aren't using the war in Iraq as some random reason to hate our leaders in the white house.
Gun control is not Crime control.
Almost the every democrat in congress voted for the war. The war has merrit only 17 UN snaction violations in 10 years including but not limited to violating the cease fire from the gulf war. It does not matter what Bush does the Demoncrats will scream bloody murder. Look what they are doing to the Director of FEMA (republican) but you dot hear a peep about Ray Neagan mayer of New orliens (demoncrat) or the Govonor or LA (demoncrat) they are the ones who are to blame. FEMA comes in after a disaster the local leaders are the ones that ordered the evacuation to late and dindt use the busses. compare this to the sunami and to the earthquake in pakistan fema did pretty good. its just another example of the left screaming their head off with out having a salution. Quite frankly I find it childish and so does most of the country and the world. The liberal prime minister of germany has been replaced by a conservitave. Australia kept its conservitive goverment in there elections England may elect the conservitive party over tony blair who in his own right is prety conservitive. Democrats are losing seats in both houses in the mid term elections. Unless the left gets their act together and comes up with a plan better than just ataking the plan of the right no one is going to take them seriously.
Lets get a couple of this straight first. The ex director of FEMA was an unqualified idiot. What did he do before being the director of FEMA...anyone...anyone..he was the president of the AMERICAN ARABIAN HORSE ORGINIZATION!!!!! WTF does that have to do with managing emergencys???? Nothing!!!! Thats why he failed.

i think we are getting off topic,
You excpect to organize a reliefe effort that has command of over 40,000 troops countless municipalities 20,000 volontrers 3 states 20+ goverment agencies and millions of stuborn civilians in 3 freeking days?
thinking the french are responsible for the town being built is similar to saying that gun mannfactors kill people.
I hate the news it pushes mis information and people actualy belive it. I can lead a horse to water but I cant make it drink. Im out.

Brown was not qualified to be the dierctor of FEMA. Point Blank If you think he was plese show me his prior creentials. Again he was the president of the american arabin horse assosiation.

and neocons blame clinton...
blaming brown is joke. thats like saying the hurricane was racist its ignorant. the director of an a goverment organazation is a temporary tenent. he only stays there for a few years. it is the department heads that spend 20 plus years in a agencie who make it what it is. the director simply admistrates and goes to meetings. And just to be clear you DIDN'T point out any problems you simply called him an idiot and pointed out his prior job. NO ONE MADE THIS HURRICANE HAPPEN LEFT OR RIGHT . BUT IT DIDNT TAKE PEOPLE LONG TO POINT FINGERS THE LOCAL GOVERMENT WERE POINTING FINGERS WHILE THEIR PEOPLE WERE STARVING STUCK ON THEIR ROOFS.
I work for the county and a winery 50+s hours and and am a C/J-LAW student at CSUS...I should be going into post training for the sheriffs at the end of summer 06'
