I am sure he had some sort of college degee probably a masters or at least a bachlors thats 4-6 years kinda makes 8 months look like a week end. my point is one has nothing to do wit the other. So where does a person get the experiance to direct FEMA? who has the experiance to deal with largest natural disaster to ever hit our country. Answer = no one. becuase it never happened before. It dosn't matter who was there or what he did someone whold have been rubbed wrong and they would have attacked ehoever it was for whatever sounded best

this is opening a huge can of worms, since now you bring up components like social economic disparities, police state, and what not. You said it yourself, one cannot rely on the police for protection which justified carrying guns.

Dude you base all your info on assumptions...you have no facts. You dont even know what brown had. He had a law degree which he never practiced with....As far as what kind of experience?? How about disaster realief, EMS, RED CROSS director, fire/police chief of a major metropolitan area i bet those would be better people for the job....the fact taht you do not even want to question his record/experience just shows me you are blinded by bipartisan politics...you should be in an uproar regardless what part you belong too. I would be if he ws under clinton or anyone else...

yes bordie you are right but when a coast guard rescue swimmer is on your roof with you and you are surronded by the atlantic ocean and he is telling you "yo its time to leave" its time to trust the goverment. Looking at your surrondings should be reason enough.

Well the difference you have is what you hear from other people. What I have is formal education in governmental bearucracy (MAx weber, carl marx, wilson). If you think the military is ANY WAY like the government works your crazy....just the fact you are throwing out that your moms family works for government agencies and using that as legit sources mystifies me.....

For what ever reason wether it be lack of certified drivers or cost of fuel ray neagan didnt use the busses. If the busses would have been used it wouldnt of mattered who had money or not.

Sorry. yes the video that I saw was of the two female officers looting a walmart. I was not trying to imply that all the police were looting. only that the looting was real and not made up.

Speaking of looting, I wached a Mind of Mencia episode where he pointed out how in a paper or something, there was a picture of black people "looting" but there was another picture with white poeple "finding supplies." Thought I would throw that one in there.

It just re enforces my point that the news what ever channel or outlet you watch or read projects their openion in to their reporting and you cant trust or take any of the comontators seriously. Just becuase CNN/FOX/MSNBC/NYtimes. says some one is a "idiot" or that somthing didn't get done right doesnt make them right just becuase they have a printing press or a transmitter.

The white house pressured Brown to resign. If they felt he did nothing wrong they would have not sent him on leave and then have him resign. Thats not the media those are the facts. Later Bush would go on to take responsibility for the actions of the feds following the disaster. Those are facts. If Bush or the white house felt they did everything correctly and "their" base felt the same way Brown would not have resigned and Bush would not have took responsibility. Just look at Bush's approval ratings they are the lowest ever...those are facts.

I try to sample all the diffrent chanells and then decide what is openion and what is fact based on logic and my own experiance. I take it all with a grain a salt. there are two or sometimes three siedes to every story. try to watch the BBC sometime I dont always like what they say but it deffers gratly most the time from our news networks here in the US.
