I just recently purchased a new TM SR-16 from AEX (yesterday) and have been installing new hop-up bucking, a tightbore inner barrel, and a one-piece outer barrel. i'm completely finished, except for the front, triangular sight is still on my old TM stock outer barrel. I've removed the two pins that attach the sight to the "grooves" in the barrel, but the sight still won't come off. It appears that there's some sort of screw or pin that's connecting it to the barrel above the swivel sling mount, but, i can't get to it and the sight doesn't slide off. any pointers or ideas? thanks

Ya there is a set screw right there under the sling mount. You'll need an allen wrench. I dont know what size it is but it is small. You will need to remove it to get the sight off the barrel.

do you have to remove the swivel sling mount first, or can you just do it with that still on?

sorry that i dont have any pointers, but thats fantasic that u got ur new gun just in time for our next game.
You remove it with a 1.5mm hex wrench. If the front sling swivel is in the way, you knock the pin out with a 1/8" punch and a hammer and the swivel comes right out. Use a vice-grip with a cloth on it to press the pin back in when you're done.
thanks, got it
