Battlefields and Camp Parks, Camp Roberts and Hunter Ligget

Oct 30, 2005 3:54pm
Has there been any thought about checking into the military installations for Airsoft Battles. The bases are used by reenactors all the time. Camp Parks is located in Dublin. Camp Roberts has massive battle areas of which some have bridges, huge tree groves river beds etc. You can also stay at Camp Roberts in military barracks. The barracks are old but clean and have toilets and showers. They are two floors and sleep around 50 per building. I believe the only kicker is you have to be a registered club with proof of insurance (but Ill double check on this). It makes for a great 2 to 3 day event. They do charge for the barracks but battle fees end up being around $20 per person.

Camp Roberts and Ft. Hunter Ligget are active training sites currently for the Army Reserve and National Guard. They are two of the sites that many Guard and Reserve units do their pre-training and qualifications before heading out to mobilization sites.
Ok Ronin, KNUCKLE UP!

Camp bob an Ft hunter ligget let WWII reenactors use them..and you can rent barrecks for $90 a night I think...and that is enough for 40 guys..My club (WWII uses camp BOB 1 time per month AVG)I can get the contact info for camp bob, but you need some kind of insurance to use their site. now camp parks is totaly differnt. we used to have Civil War and WWII their , but we always had to camp out..not a problem for me but there was always some crazy enviromental concern when we were out there some redlegged frog if I rember right. The leader ship there just became annoyed with the reenactors so we stoped going there after 2003. Oh yea how could I forget at camp bob you have to look out for the EVIL KIT FOX and the PURPLE FLOWER... and watch out for BIG spiders and BADGERS!

waddu mean sometimes dusty. its in the desert. i had infantry school there. try cleaning those barracks. takes like an hour w/ 20 guys. But ya, the main training ground, Sherwood Forest, is about 20 feet from danger zone(where arty shells are supposed to hit). So you'd prolly need insurance. We found duds jus bout everywhere on base.
newb, but a savage newb at that.

Thats what I thought. I know what Chem-lites are: they're the things you look to avoid when doing a mass-tactical jump!

I said "mass tactical jump". There is no such thing as a HALO mass tactical jump.

They where used to mark the heavy drop items that were allready on the DZ. That way you didn't land on a howitzer or a Hummer. The IR ones marked the assembly areas.
