I just bought a UTG Mp5 Airsoft Gun, and I wanna upgrade the motor and a few other parts to get it to 350fps. Anyone know where I could find upgrades for the gun and what I should be looking for? Much appreciated! Cheers!

I heard that all the tokyo marui mp5 parts are compatible with the utg. so just buy any marui upgrades. :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :!: :shock:

one of my friends just bought one and aex hooked it up real nicly, they upgraded spring, bushings and one or two other things i can't remember, they also rewired to the back of the solid stock and knocked out the sling notch to fit a 9.6 7 cell 3600 mah battery. shoots very solid great rate of fire.

how much was all that?

Hey im the friend who got the UTG and upgraded it.. I got a 8.4 3600 mah, a new sling because the rear notch had to be knocked out, rewired to the back, new sp 120 spring and CA bushings and what not. i came out the door at 150. It shoots 365 now and is sweet. Im going to rerewire it back to the front and get a larger foregrip so i can use my extendable stock.. I got it for 150 but i think he gave me a deal on labor..

I too am considering getting a UTG. Now seeing that the gun s compatable with the TM parts, it puts my wallet at ease. Now does the UTG come with a black lash hider, or would I need to go purchese a black one from aex or simply spray paint the tip black? ( knows this voids the warrenty, but if the parts are compatable with TM, then its all good). Now could upgrade the weapon externaly? Rails, metal cases, silencers, etc?

I'm a little disappointed, because when I took my UTG into AEX to get it upgraded, they said that they refuse to work on UTGs anymore. The guy said that they take up too much of their time to work on and a few didn't work after they opened them. Kinda frustrated, but I'll figure something out later. My two cents...

Ok dude i understand that you want a UTG cause there cheap but look at it like this. the gun cost 115 form airsoft atlanta shipped, plus about 200 in parts if you do everything you would need to do to get it to the quality of a TM. or you oculd go to AEX buy a tmmp5 for 240, and spend 50 for the upgrade. 290 total. so that jsut my 2 cents.

if your like me and most of us on this forum you would take the time to do the research on the the parts that you want in the gun and price them out. might want to check poweredge. evike, airsoftatlanta, for upgrade parts and try to do the upgrades yourself and not have to worry about taking it to shop. i mean at least you get to see what youve accomplished and if you fail start all over again. the more you know how to work on your gun the better. then you know whats been done and know whats wrong. but thats just me. ive done custom wiring jobs for my guns and rsyndcatedj gun. i wired his ca-m4 tactical for front and rear so he can switch to full stock if he wants to use a large battery. just my .02$ also.

Everyone is on this Tokyo Mauri hype, but the UTG is still cheaper because...The UTG comes stock at about 260-270 fps. After the upgrades and costs the a tokyo would cost, your at about 360 fps. The tokyo come stock with around the same fps as the UTG, but is the cost of the UTG fully upgraded, and you still have to put money into the tokyo to get the fps up like the upgraded UTG. The only thing I agree about the previous comments, is YES, it is a lot better if people work on their own guns, so well put on that one.

dude it only cots 8$ to upgrade to a faster FPS, but their was post not to long ago wher a person asked to upgrade for his gun, all people said was to go out and play, see how good you are, and as u get better make ur gun better, when i first started people said they hate it when newbs(like me) go out and buy a brand new gun upgrade it to the max.

Understandable. I'm not a newbie though, just to the forums. I'm also not looking to have the best gun out there, but you need to be able to hang with the people that are pushing 330-350 fps. I just haven't played with an mp5, or a UTG at that matter.
