Hey i just picked up a g&g m14 off a guy through the forums and i want to go about converting this thing to a socom 16, is there any way shorten the barrel w/out buying guarders or g&g conversion kit?
Minimal work would require a simple cutting of the front end of the barrel and then getting a shorter inner barrel. If you cut the front end then you'd have to at least rethread the end so you can reattach the front sight. If on the other hand you cut the back half there maybe grooves, holes and what nots that need to be replicated in order to be properly seated and locked. I have no idea what the outer barrel looks like or how it is mounted.
