Is it safe to use a 9.6 v 3000mah battery in a stock SR 16? I ordered a 8.4 but they sent the wrong one, I'm gonna see if I can just use what they sent me. Also, how in the heck do I squeeze this thing in there? I almost have it, but need another 1/2" clearance from the wires sticking out, and I have tried every configuration. Do I need to do some light surgery to the stock?

Look down the stock, theres a bar running across it that you need to knock out. just take any other crap inside the stock out you dont think needs to be in there... i will fit.

Thanks, I took that plastic bar out of the stock, and the 9.6 would just barely fit, but I could get it in there. What I ended up doing was taking a cell out and resoldering the battery pack to make it an 8.4v, since I plan on keeping the gun stock for a few games, and don't want to risk screwing anything up.
