Pistol silencers cover orange tip,isnt illigal to not have an orange tip on the gun?

Just as long as you aren't caught by a police officer you'll be okay. By law it's a permanent blaze orange tip and you can get your gun confiscated and be fined a hefty amount of money. That's if you don't get shot first.

The orange tip is supposed to be a permanent fixture and visible at all times on any airsoft/replica rifle/handgun sold and used within the US in accordance with federal laws. So an orange sock is unacceptable, that is why we have and use bags and cases. The use of a mock silencer to cover up the orange tip is also unacceptable unless the silencer itself is painted orange (at least the tip is).
