Custom built m203 grenade launcher L@@K

Nov 7, 2005 7:50pm
Hey, so I decided the ol 16 needed a lil bit more firepower, 400fps, a psg1 tight bore, and a 3000rnd cmag wasnt quite enough, so I figured ide buy a 203 to make it look a little cooler and for the intimidation factor. But i checked over at AEX and m203's were 150+ without a grenade, and besides that there only plastic. . . So I decided I might as well save 150 and build it myself. I used abs piping in two demensions for the barrrel and the sliding grip, i used vynal tubing cut in half glued to the sliding grip to form the ridges, and i used an m16 scope riser so i could attatch this to my ris unit, then i installed a simply push button trigger, painted it black and vuala, 5 dollar m203 launcher that looks cool and works great.

Yeah, nades work great in it. Its a really snug fit once you lock the grip back, and the push button trigger works great.

Well, by far the least cost effective item used in the construction of this m203 was the scope riser. Anyone know what aex sells thoughs for? thats gonna determine what i would charge, otherwise im thinking of makin 203's that can connect to a plastic foregrip instead of 203, using plastic or wood in play of the scope riser which would really cut costs. watcha think?

if you want that battle worn look.. i would suggest this method.

luvin how it loads, hella smart using a sleeve.
And shephards we will be.

making a piece that went into the inside of the bottom piece of an m4 foregrip, then screwed into the top of the launcher would be nice. itd be tight on the rifle and eliminate that rail mount. plus the m4s already have holes all along the top and bottom of their foregrips.
And shephards we will be.

i would definitely like to take a closer look, and shoot a few (i'll use my own gas / bb's  ). can you give me a rough estimate of the cost, if i were to be carrying this alone (no mount, i run w/an AK. i'd put a sling on it).

No, you should patent your invention.... Watch if you give out the directions and then somebody cashes in on your product, you'll be pissed... But I would like to say, nice clean job...

yeah if you dont want to do them, pm me with how to make them...dennis right about the patent...but im really lazy and i cant do any of that(dont have a ride anywhere,etc...so i wont take the idea from you...when i make one my way, ill use the type of stuff you use,d but make it how i want it.)

yes, please PM me all the directions. don't worry about me trying to steal your invention, i wont. but hey, i'm sure you can some money off or this by selling the directions on ebay - i have seen people selling similar items such as wholesale list and directions for DIY projects like yours.
