g3 sg1

Nov 26, 2005 2:45am
The next gun i am planning on getting is a tokyo marui g3 sg1. i plan on getting a spring upgrade so its about 400 fps. i also want to get a red dot and some other various internal and external parts for it like a more accurate barrel. i would use it for a "auto Sniper" sort of thing. what do you suggest i get for it.

get a real one, that should do the trick. kidding, but whatever you do, go with what makes it the most durable. The one up top likes to eat pistons.

Come on now Kahn, that's not an auto-sniper like he's looking for, that's a freakin saw/support gun.

It's sick looking, whatever it is :)

Metal body and front end so it doesnt flex as much and a tightbore barrel. With 400-ish fps that should be a nice accurate gun with great range.

tight bore, new hop-up bucking, preferrably a clear one.

How much for the sg1, whats its condition and does it have any upgrades?

Just to clear this up, because this ALWAYS annoys me, if you are talking about a rifle it is a SNIPER RIFLE or RIFLE not a "sniper", a sniper is a person not a rifle. And a G3 is not techincally a sniper rifle. A better name for it would be a DMR (designated marksmans rifle), another example is say a M16A2/3 with a Trijicon Acog 4x scope on it. It is given to "better than average" shooters to give them the edge they could use. The difference between a sniper and a DM (designated marksman) is that the DM's do not go through the rigourous training and conditioning and experience that a sniper does. Also, the weaponry is different. A sniper uses a bolt action rifle (less moving parts=more reliable/accurate) such as the M40A3 and M24 not M4/M16's. Back to the topic, I have seen G3's as DMR's before...they are usually no different than say a M4 with a scope on it. I would also go for the CA33 (classic army G3) as it has a full metal body and feels a little nicer and has no barrel wobble. Tokyo Marui is a very reliable gun manufacter though...Anyways just wanted to clear that whole topic up, hopefully someone finds it helpful.

Oh our G3 is not for sale ever. It shoots 1500+ rounds per min at 400 fps it out shoots some snipers. thats why it eats through pistons. but I can live with that. We use as a SAW and for the guy that said in a different forum that he gets mad when people refer to anything but a M249 as a SAW I will go ahead and explain what SAW means Squad Automatic Weapon.

yeah! join the elite g3 club (he he) The SG1 is my was my first new gun. Is shooting at around 440-450 with 2's, so i didsabled the full auto (ronnie put a screw on the body to block the selector switch). I have never had any problems. Shoots straight, far, and super smooth. I dont know even close to how many rounds i put through it... but it does have a ton of kills on it due to the accuracy.
If you ever talk to me like that again, I'll rip out your balls and shove 'em up your ass, so the next time you sh*t, you sh*t all over your balls.

Yeah the accuracy is one of the reasons im going to get one. My first gun was an m4 but as you know everyone has one. But i want to to get a barret m468 kit for it. Anyway darkcobra im not going to buy used/ upgraded guns and im going to buy new. thanks for the awsome pic thought. :D
