Maruzen APS2 SV help....
Looking to get a Maruzen APS2 SV in the near future and I want to get it shooting at top performance. Lets just say for right now that money is not a issue and that I wish to put in.

Snoop is the god of all sniper guns. I would ask him but he's tired of answering the same questions over and over again but maybe you'll get lucky...

If your getting a Zero trigger. Then you don't need to upgrade the stock one. Just remove the whole assembly and drop in the Zero trigger unit
why would you put a pdi cylinder set in when you already have the ff stuff. personally i think the ff stuff is much better than the pdi set because (as snoopy explained to me) the pdi piston won't handle an over 500 fps spring based on its design. the oring used for cushioning is held on by glue and basically comes off and shags the rest of the cylinder.

Thanks you guys for replying. The reason I would get the PDI cylinder is because I hear that it is engineered to 4/1000 tolerance or something like that which is suppose to be top of the line smoothness. Also I would get it with a Vacuum piston. This is what I am also considering:

I use a FF teflon cyl w/ no cyl lube. Lube attracts dirt.
sorry i didn't make myself clear earlier. km makes two applicable types of tightbores...

Thanks for the advice anguirus, I think I will go with FF after all. So I guess I will need the FF cylinder, First Factory Damper APS2 Cylinder Head, First Factory APS2 Spring Guide, and what piston do you recommend?

Oh and you sure that it won't be a good idea to get the Maruzen hop up? I am just wondering because with a tightbore and also I am planning on using .43 bb's you sure that using barrel spacers will guarantee me a straight shot every time? Again thanks.

if you are going to use the km aeg tightbore (ie psg1 barrel) you don't need to get an extra maruzen hop up cause it simply won't fit it, only the aero chamber will. the pdi hop up will fit too but its not as consistent as the aero chamber.

Thanks again anguirus for the info. I forgot to say that the maruzen hop up I was looking at is actually supposed to be a adjustable version that is apparently says it is nicely used with KM barrels. The SV and OR both have fixed hopups so it might not be so friendly to a different type of barrel. I cant seem to find out how to post the URL specifically it but if you type in Maruzen APS2 Hop-Up Unit (Compatible with TN Barrel) at redwolfairsoft.com it should show up. But I guess I will take your word and just stick with having the aero chamber and tightbore because I do plan on using .43 bb's and it should give me straight shooting. And does the aero chamber act as a adjustable hop up itself?

ah i see. yeah still though you won't need to get the maruzen hop unit cause the aero chamber is an adjustable hop on its own (and it works with aegs barrels).

Thanks for clearing all that up for me. And by the .43 bb's you think I should get you are talking about the digicon ones they sell on AEX? Again thanks a lot because without your info I probably would of bought a lot of parts I didn't need. Lol I just didn't know that much about the mechanics until you explained them to me.

yeah digicon .43s. the gray ones have an orange label. the graphite coated ones have a green label. get the orange ones if you can.
