SAVE TOOKIE WILLIAMS
I have worked in a State Prison for 8 years. I have been to San Quentin, i have seen death row. Prison is not a horrible place. 3 square meals, dentist, doctors, education, trade schools, SEX, drugs, outside food, band, sports, TV, radios, cd, you name it. They are not just locked up anymore. A prison is runs like a small city. There are work and school call, play time at the yard. On the average, inmates spend 8-9 hours in their cells. The rest of the time they are running around. Ad-seg and death row are a little different. lock down 23-24 hours. However, it does not mean they go with out. You would be surprised/shocked at what inmates and prisoners get. On the average, a mainline inmate cost the state 20k per year, RC inmate 24k, and i think a death row inmate was around 28k. People, it is kind of like a vacation for these people. No responsibility, 24 hour security, gated community. Other people are taking care of them-kind of like a human leech!!! Just as a safety tip. Saw someones post with a picture with an ID and an address-YOU MIGHT WANT TO EDIT IT. "Tookie" has never fully debriefed- and is still considered active. My gut feeling tells me the same thing. He's most likely still running things-maybe indirrectly though. These guys have connections and ways to really reach out and touch someone. Becareful in what you write and say.
Hansen I respect your post and I think you have a very good point but heres mine. If society wants to scare murderers through capitol punishment (which proven doesn't work) then why not scare them with a much worse form of prison life (the one without the things that you listed). I agree that prisoners on death row should not have the right to participate in most of those following activities that you said (I don't understand the trouble of going outside to exercise).
If I had two dead rats. I would cut you.
pm'ed to take it off the board.
[quote="EasyCheese15"] I can understand paying 20k a year to educate prisoners.
I couldn't resist putting this out there
As you guys addressed earlier that criminals are doing nothing but sucking up cash from honest taxpayers. This is true but, like paying for your daughters college (although its a ridiculous amount of money) people like to think about it as a little thing called an "investment". Say your daughter graduates from college becomes a doctor. She ends up making 4 times that 20k a year.
If I had two dead rats. I would cut you.

some guys say dont kill him so he can be a positive example to the people of his community and communities like his and others say kill him so he can be an example of what not to do or to show what happens when you dont follow the law. it relly doesent matter which direction we take because he will serve to become an example in either which situation but dont loose sight of the fact that the state didnt put him on death row to become an example he is on death row for being a convected murder of no less than four people. maybe those four people were other gang bangers or maybe they werent i dont know but how would you feel if this guy killed one of your family members in cold blood and now might get out. his sentence should be carried out and we should be done with him. he shouldnt get out just because the state has problems with accually carring out its death sentences to a convected murder. i dont believe 2 wrongs make a right but this guy has got to go, this whole topic has been waiting for 20 years FINISH HIM :!:

I belive that he diserves clemency. eaven though most of you people may not agree its my opinion. i respect your opinions on he should be put to death for his past behavior. but it is the past and you cant change that. but he would if he could. the prision system is made to corect people and straiten them out. eaven though in many cases it may not be true, in this case it may be. i think its really unfair how alot of you can be one sided on this. i am a strong beliver in his message to stop gang violance. and i belive he should pay for his actions. but i do not belive killing is the answer for killing. why shouldent he be left in jail to die on his own. atleast that way his message will still be heard for a few more years and all his work un undowing what he has done wont be lost. and the gang violance death rate tripple in 3 years. maybe in this one case the system worked and he has changed.

He needs to go the route the way his 4 victims went. Justice can then be partially served.
i dont see how hard this is. DEATH. DEATH to all who ruthlessly MURDER others.

The beauty of literature is that its time less, we can kill him and his message will live on. BRING ON THE FIREING SQUAD
I can see myself on either side of the argument. As far as sparing him death, I could understand this being that he has and will save more lives being kept alive then he will dead.
You just got killed by a Daewoo Lanos...How You like me now?
What all you are over looking on this is the chance he might be inocent. maybe he is maybe he isent. i belive he is. but i will tell you why so you dont think its just an opinion based on no information.
What.....................Inocent......................Are you stoned????????????????
this thread sucks!
God save us everyone will be burning inside the fires of a thousand suns.
Remember, besides the DA saying who's on the jury, Tookie's lawyer had to agree also. So those who say his jury was biased needs to realize Tookie's lawyer agreed also.
Ok Ronin, KNUCKLE UP!
