Which one should i get?

Dec 1, 2005 10:56pm
I am able to get an AEG for x-mas and its going to be my first. which one do you guys think is best for me? I really like the CA G36, but i also like m4's and m16's and along those lines. Please let me know, and why you think that gun would be best.

in my opinion, i would go with the M4, i like the way the look more than a G36c. M4's are more reliable than G36's and you can do almost anything with one if you ever decide to mod it out.

classic army no good?
Dec 1, 2005 11:30pm
classic army is good... but you just can't match the internals of Tokyo Marui. If all you want CA is for the metal body, trust me... you won't see too much of a difference between ABS plastic and the metal, its really not a big deal.
Dec 1, 2005 11:34pm
i just want a good that has better overall performance. like after upgrades.
Dec 1, 2005 11:37pm
after upgrades?... TM then.. only thing wrong with TM is the plastic body and the FPS.... a little bit of money and you can take care of that FPS problem, but a metal body is, i dunno, around $100.(not a necessity.)
Dec 1, 2005 11:41pm
im not too worried about metal body right now. i mean after a while i will eventually upgrade that, but right now its FPS
Dec 1, 2005 11:43pm
out of box, CA is better, but more expensive than TM. If your willing to upgrade the FPS than TM is a way better choice. They shoot a lot smoother.
Dec 1, 2005 11:49pm
ah, i see. with the Ca, what makes the TM more reliable? have there been a lot of problems with CA?
Dec 1, 2005 11:55pm
no, no problems at al with CA, its just TM is a lot more reliable. I an not all that good with internals of guns, but i think its the TM motor(EG) that makes the TM's shoot so smooth. Nothing wrong with CA, you just won't get the same smoothness while shooting.

ah, i understand. at first i thought you were saying that the CA's were like a terrible gun. lol
Dec 2, 2005 12:05am
Why do people still think that CA has shitty internals? Its been clarified multiple times that the new version of the m15 comes with reinforced parts meaning that your basically safe to anything under a m120.

ca guns are very reliable and have very good internals...all the internals are reinforced..such as the Piston, Gear set(stainless steal) and Sealed Cylinder to name just a few. plus u get 330 fps out of the box...and a metal body...a new metal body is like 150 new...imo u get more for your money with the new CA version 3s...not that tm is a bad brand at all..i just rencently bought a tm m14 and i luv it to death but i also have a ca c.q.b...both guns are great but for a starter gun i recomend CA cuz u get more for your money...thats my 2 cents

your 2 cents along with everyone else's is much appreciated! thanks alot. any more feedback?
Dec 2, 2005 12:11am
im having that same dilema. i decided that im gonna get the ca, and get new gears, motor (cuz the ca's are super loud) and few other things to boost my rof
Dec 2, 2005 12:14am
LOL, yeah it feels like buying a car. its a big investment.. haha
Dec 2, 2005 12:15am
Well if your looking to get new gears and motor than going the expensive route might be good. Getting a systema high speed motor, high speed, gears, and perhaps a piston to support the beating then your going to be getting over 15 rpm. Also be sure to throw in a 9.6v battery also. Lol gotta a little out of hand but if you want quiet then putting in a eg1000 motor could lower the motor whine a little.

lol, i want it all!! haha. i dont mind motor loudness. im not a picky person.

the Ca motors are a lil loader but its nothin thats a big deal...and as for new gears and a new motor it really doesnt make sence cuz the motor has a ROF of about 15 rounds a sec with is plenty fast enough...also the gears on the CA guns are stainless steal gears...u cant get any better then that

Yeah my first gun was a ICS mp5 and I loved the thing to death. It had a metal body, shot at a nice fps, and I got it for a good price. Its just after a while I came to relize I want something with more potential upgrade wise and I decided to trade it for a TM p90 which right now doesn't nearly compete with my old mp5 but im looking to get it upgraded sometime soon. So basically what im saying get a gun that won't bore you after a while, get something that you can make your project and continue to add things to it, and also make sure you consider buying off somebody on the boards because there are some good deals out there put out by honest sellers. And do your research about any gun you buy. Make sure you become the encyclopedia about everything there is to know about your gun and whats included. And another tip thats overlooked is to get full stock guns for your first gun for the battery. Trust me it just makes all the difference.

yeah, none of my friends have good guns either, so i cant really test them. the one i held at AEX (the CAG36) was AWESOME! i loved it. i think i will get it and M120 for now.

Alright Tokyo Mauri has been around longer the CA or ICS, therefore they have been able to work out the kinks in their guns. CA and ICS came into the game after and gained the reputation of crapy guns because they had tiny kinks and such that needed to be worked out, due to the fact that they were new. If you ask anyone that has bought a CA or ICS M4 lately they will tell you that the CA M15 is wonderful and they have had no problems with it. Although i will be honest a ICS M4 is still working out some of its kinks with their M4s, but the MP5s are pretty damn reliable now.

No. ICS is not better than TM. I have had lots of problems with the reliablitly of ICS guns. The quailty control is non-exsitant.
