I am glad to see that airsoft is finally bigger in Sacramento, I remember a few years back when I was the only kid on the block with a airsoft gun (a spring m16 might I add) now theres you guys with your M4's with Aimpoints and EOTECHs, running around in gear thats issued only to Special Ops units.
It's grown but not to the size of paintball. There's a growing number of people who are coming over from the paintball scene. But, I doubt the popularity of airsoft will ever reach paintball levels. Especially, due to the fact that we're running around with realistic equipment and this country's fears and somewhat anti-military mindset.

If California politicians have their way airsoft will be gone within 5 years from this State.
Lol I thought airsoft was just something that people did in their backyard with 20 dollar springers that you get at Big 5 also but after doing some searches for airsoft retailers in Sacramento I out of luck discovered Sacair which made figure out that there is a whole community of players around where I live which made me really get into it. So mostly getting into airsoft for me wasn't about really about the guns but that there are actually people around to play the sport with. So hey I was in your shoes also (still sorta figuring out the sport also though).
If I had two dead rats. I would cut you.

Yes, I read the gun laws in CA, and they are very outdated. I can't legally own a M4 rifle, but I can own a m14 (m1A) or the new SOCOM 16 (a shortened down m14), which I think is a more powerful weapon than the m4 because of the .308 round it fires, but the m4 has "assault" features such has a pistol grip....when will they learn?
