Jarhead was GREAT! I thought it really showed a side of war that no movie has depicted before. If you're just looking for lots of action and fighting though, THIS MOVIE IS NOT FOR YOU! This is a movie on what goes on in the mind of a soldier deployed far from home. It shows what they think, feel, and experience.

i was readin a book that had a short off topic commentary on the events there, the writer said that the snipers who were watching the HTs through their scopes began to personalize with them and when the time came they couldn't take ths shot and they watched them kill the athletes through their rifle scopes.
