are the threads on the g3sg1 counter clockwise or clockwise?
What threads? I dont seem to remember haveing any threads on the barrel of a G3.

Yes. There should be a set screw in the underside of the flash hider and the barrel. Thats how they come off.

The Sg-1's dont have a threaded barrel.The flashhider does come off though,by unscrewing the setscrew
