I was showing a friend of mine my AEG and he told me that RC cars and toys of that sort use the same kind of batteries as Airsoft guns. He said the only difference is I just spent $80 on a battery that I could have gotten for about $20-$40 at an RC store. Has anyone tried this before? Is this true?
Where did you buy an $80 battery?
Kinda true..They use the same "format",Ni-cad and Ni-hm,but airsoft guns require more volts for their motors. An r/c ESC,most that is,only require you to run 7.2 volts,6cells,and a AEG needs 8.4v,7cells or higher. What battery did you get for 80 bucks?Go to Uncompany and you'll find batts that are 40 bucks for a decent one,or batteryspace.com
