you don't really need to remove the fire select switch. Just make sure the little spring behind it doesn't get lost. Also on the port side of the mechbox you can use either a pick or a small allen wrench and pop out the tappet plate spring. That way when you open the mechbox it doesn't spring out. Also that's how you put the spring back in afterwards too.
