I used to be into R/C cars before I got my license. I have a Team Associated RC10 B2 buggy and RC10 GT Nitro Truck on a shelf in the garage. My dad as an old school Associated buggy from like 20 years ago.

I've been into RC for about 15 years off and on. I started out with old school electric cars like "The Frog" and "The Hornet".

The neighbor kid works at Capitol City RC and he held one for me. They have a few left from what he told me. I was a couple dollars over $200 literally (tax included). I love the thing honestly. It's fast, completely self contained, affordable and most of all high quality/very durable. It comes with battery, wall charger, sythesized 27mhz FM radio, truck itself and various small replacement parts. I use the thing to chase the cats around our place since I couldn't really justify bringing the nitro cars/trucks into the house, that and the wife would scalp my testicles.

I run an external receiver pack on mine, just pull out the red wire and plug in the external pack. What kind of crawler do you have using 1/4 scale servos? Next time we play at the cqb field we should have rock crawling event too, considering all the rocks out there

Still even if they go through an $18 pair of tires a day of long racing or 2 thats like us going through a bag of BBs a day... All hobbies have their expences

a txt too, with a planetary diff and the stock silver can motor. But I'm thinking of using a lathe motor to really gear the sucker down. I've got some hi torque servo's but not 1/4 scale though. Locked diffs and tmaxx wheel adapters.

WestcoastPJ, dude that's sweet..naw man I don't gotta pic of mine yet. I didn't cut the chassis, I just jb welded my diffs, dual servoes, and tmaxx wheel adapters. Though I'm thinking I should try lengthening the chassis. I've got a set of Imex rock crawler tires on mine. Gonna get another set for play and glue down the other set with foam for show. Love what you did with the shocks too.
