the right battery for ca m15a4

just wondering who is right, airsoft extreme says the gun takes a 9.6v mini and airsoft gi says it takes a 8.4v. i dont want to spend sixty bucks on the wrong battery

stock guns take 8.4

if its a m15a4 RIS then i think it takes a 9.6 1700 AA battery, but if its a full stock then I will hold a 9.6 sub-C type cells (600-3300 mah).
