I bought The Dean's G&G UMG package for $300, excellent deal and I have to thank Chris again. It is a very nice gun and comes with tons of stuff from Chris.
use the smaller volt/capacity batteries (0=3
Yea, that's the short term solution. Just shooting full auto works, and it has a awesome ROF, but when it comes the time to decompress the spring, I wouldn't be able to do it.
Got my self worried about the cocking handle of my UMG...been having too many 'slap happy' show off with my dad...its a bit loose...though looks like nothing I can see is warping or coming off...
The fix is to install a section of a rubber hose or cyliner in front of the cocking tube.
Yesterday, the umg was giving me both semi, and full auto problems when useing both my standard, and hi-cap mags. Occionnally I got a double feed, fired none the less, but then I got entire spurts of nothing but dry fire. I removed the mag and roughtly 3 to 4 bbs would come out. I'm sure it's just the feed from the mag...but then i put the mag back in, same thing would happen. and this is during several fire fights with Airbrone at CQB. At AZ that night, it worked fine, though ful auto wan't used and I had a dry fire once in a while...
I bought my UMG from The Dean, and the gun works fine except for when using a powerful battery, the gun actually cycle for more than 1 cycle, more like 1.5 sysle. The piston stop in the middle of a cycle and the middle teeths are chewed up.
thanks man... I'll spray some silicone lube in it... Though i plan on useing silcone lube for the job, is it a good idea to use WP40 for AEGs?
use WD40 if you want your hopup rubber to be gone when you use it. PURE silicon oil ONLY!
Thanks, thats what I was thinking as well
Day before I went to Sac to pick up Nightblade, i stopped by AEX In Santa Clara, and told one of the guys about the double feed issues. He looked confused, and send to one fo the cabnets, and, what I beleive, he changed out the hop-up rubber no sweat. When he tested fired it, it made me worry when he said it was still having issues. so the next day, I went to the AEX in SAC, as my cousin was getting some bbs and green gas, I tested fired my gun. With a fully charged battery ( Kan Ni-MH 9.6 1400 mAH Battery ) worked fantastic. During yesterdays match the gun worked perfectly during the cource of the games, until the beganing of the second match, where it was having feed issues,, loaded it with .23 ammo, and it worked fine, though I can telll it wasn't doing the 1 cycle/per trigger pull like Dean's weapon. I am considering swapping out the stock spring for a m110 ( my stock gun shoots 302 ), and piston for a new set, along with metal bushings. I'll wait till G&G either releases, or another company makes a new gear set for the UMG
