glock 19 help
hey guys, i have a lgock 19, and the previous owner painted over the orange tip, and now the paint is coming off. i was wondering if the whole"soak it in nail polish" idea works on the glcok orange tips? i know they are reallly hard to scrape off with your finger nails, so yeah if you think soaking the tip in nail polish remover is a good idea, post up. if not, give me some other ideas of taking it off while keeping the black under the orange on.
get it powder coated joe that enamel paint is a pain to get off.
i owuld do that, justin. but the problem is tha i have no clue where to get it done at, nor do i have a lot of money to spend on a professional to do the job. i will try the whole nail polish remover thing tomorrow or tonight. if it doesnt work, ill try to find some paint that will work on it and will actually stay.

i know you can get this stuff i cant remember the name its somethin graffiti...its basically ment to remove graffiti( naaa really lol)...anyway it works great on airsoft guns...they have ones that take the paint off of plastic and one for metal...i will get back to ya on the name...and i think they sell it at like kellymore or somethin

I have a feeling that if i use that stuff, italian boy, that it will take the black off with it. like i said, i will try the nail polish remover idea right now, then i will get back to you guys in about an hour or so. if it works well then i wont need help, but if it doesnt, i will continue needing help.
well i know all the guys at gamepod use that graffiti stuff and it works great....and i know that the goof off is harmless as well...but try the nail polish remover then c what happens and how it works...

I just got a G19, and am having problems gettin it off, are you just sanding or ?
no, i put only the orange tip in some nail polish remover. i then waited about 20 minutes and took it off...DO NOT USE A RAZOR. this is what i did, and it will take off paint sometimes. so maybe a paper towel and scrub it ? hell, i dont know, just dont use a razor like i did.
what kinda nail polish remover did you use?!
um...really powerfull stuff im guessing...LOL.
