Need info about buying my 1st GBB

Dec 31, 2005 8:06am
ok guys i need some good advice. I've been into airsoft for a while but am only now getting readty to buy my 1st GBB. I want to buy either a sig or a glock. Im leaning more towards getting a sig because thats the gun my dad uses. Im considering buying the Tokyo Marui SIG Sauer P226 Rail. Any info. on this gun, its performance, any flaws, other recomendations, etc. would be GREATLY APPRECIATED!!! Also, what upgrades do you recomend i purchase for the gun. I want it to shoot hard, be accurate, and most of all be RELIABLE. once again, any and all info/help is appreciated!!

well it TM so its probably good, i dont have any experince with TM pistols, i have KWA g17, great gun, comes with metal slide, and barrel. the only problem i had with it, is the common one with glocks where the screw im the rear of the slide comes out after a lot o rapid shooting, but alittle bit of locktight on it and the problem solved, other than that great gun.

the Sig is a sweet gun, go shoot it at AEX but you may want to put the metal slide / frame kit on it. I'm considering getting one of them or a sniper rifle... its still up in the air :D

While I personally do not own a TM SIG 226, I would say that is a good gun to go for.I like TM's quality. But I would go with personal perfrence more than anything. Now me I love my TM M9

get the sig, fits ur "S.W.AT" loadout. and glocks are very "bad guy" type guns. Real Steal is like 80% ABS plastic can be taken apart.( i think its the G17 but i may be wrong so dont flame me), THIS IS WHAT I HEARD so get the sig
you can pay for school but you cant buy class

well yea there have a lot of abs plastic in them but all the improtant and relevant things to shooting liek th slide and barrel are metal, and they are very bad guy guns hence the reason i run with one. the evil side prevails

The lower frame of a glock is a polymer while the slide barrel and most of the high stress parts are made of steel. Glocks are more police weapons than "bad guy" weapons. My cousin's real steel Glock 34 is a sweet gun and decent in practical shooting. The M9 is the current issue for the U.S. MILITARY as a sidearm and not usually for law enforcement. A good "bad guy" gun if you want would be guns like Brownings and such. Revolvers are also pretty good bad guy guns. If you're talking about "bad guy" weapons to be used as a terrorist kit in a scenario, then anything would work since those in the terrorist networks will useanything they can get their hands on so their loadouts are nowhere near standard to anything. Usually you'll see more Russian/German weaponry since most of them get supplied through old Commie Russian gear that has slipped into the black market over the years.

See, the main reason why i wanna get a sig is to complete my loadout. Im going for a sac pd SWAT look. my aeg is a tm mp5a5 and all my gear is swat/police oriented, so naturally i want my sidearm to fit accordingly. Most sac pd officiers carry sigs as there sidarm so i figure thats what i want too.
