seeking advice on scopes

Jan 2, 2006 5:46pm
Well I have a question regarding scopes. And since you guys have given helpful advice in the past I thought what the heck I will ask in here. I want to purchase a scope for my CA M-4. Yes my carry handle is removable. (incase some one asks.) I would like to know which one you would recomend or purchase your self. I prefer CQB so I dont mind purchasing two scopes one for CQB and one for outdoors if I need to.
If you give to a charity please think of giving to one of these two charities. The Naval Special Warfare Foundation or Navy SEAL Warrior Fund.

depends on how much and what you are looking for. If you are looking for a red dot or acog go with the GP replicas. If you are looking for an actual scope (windage/elevation) my suggestions for a cheap reliable one would either be one from the Leapers 30mm accushot series, they have a side paralax adjustment and a 3.5-10x power scope. They also look somewhat similar to the leupold M3's. Retail they are about 120 and come with an extender, caps, and a sunshade. Can you clarify more of what you want? (i.e. what reticle, how powerful, illum?)

Have to agree with Apache. G&P Aimpoint for CQB and the G&P NSN TA01 ACOG for outdoors.

Marui has also released seperately their new red dot aimpoint which is a slightly enhanced version or the same one I don't know too much about it, on their mp5a5 RAS model. Redwolf at least has it and it looks pretty decent.
