well i would like the rush of HALO down from 50,000 feet in the air with an oxygen tank attached to my back, but if when ur talking about "low" do u meen paratrooping down, wher ur parachute line is attached to the plane and on the way u jump out, it releases the "parashoot"(i dont know how to spell it)
you can pay for school but you cant buy class

I know this is not exactly what you are looking for but I saw this and thought about your post. Col. Joseph Kittinger
If you give to a charity please think of giving to one of these two charities. The Naval Special Warfare Foundation or Navy SEAL Warrior Fund.

what does airborne jump at? 200mph maybe? now lets say they are going 300-400 mph. What height do they jump at? 300 feet? Is not really sure what height but lets say 200-100 feet.

mike i think he means the planes speed, not how fast you fall

im not trying to start an argument or anything, but parachutes are really good. they even use them to slow down planes and stuff. they're pretty strong.

if your trying to get a gues on the speed of the plane since thats the speed youll be jumping at you should try to convert it to knots.

1 mile/hour = 0.868 976 242 knot ok not big difference but pilots dont use mph

714 mph must have been his peak speed, I would assume he reached that up at around 95000 feet becuase the density of the air up there is by FAR less than around 10000 where normal sky divers fall at approx 180mph. He reached the terminal velocity of 714mph becuase the less air density the less drag he encounters and obviously the faster he will fall....
