ATTN: m4 experts- power problem.

Feb 10, 2004 12:37am
At the ft ord game my tokyo marui m4 w\ 9.6 battery and 90 spring was having problems. When I would fire full auto, it was like it was running out of power, no loss on fps, just rate of fire. The i'd go for another burst and when I pull the trigger, nothing. I switched batteries the stock one that came with it (can'r remeber the voltage- eight four?) and still nothing. I then checked the connections on the wires that come out next to the barrel that connect to the battery, used needlenose pliers to gently tighten the contact. Original 9.6 back in, no problem, fired great. Get out on the field again, no fire at all. If any one be willing to take a look at it, help me rewire it so it's basically bulletproof as far as failures go, or give any advice, it would be a huge help before I blow my tax return at aex fixing this gun.

could it be switch assembly, selector plate?

Dude, i've never taken my gun apart much less know what a tappet plate is. Are those two easy to access?

Switch assembly is in the gearbox, and the selector plate is on the side of the gearbox.
