so for a while now ive been using a crane stock, but i want to go back to just retractable stocks for my ca m4. its a cqb so it came with the crane. now im learing how to dremel things out, so i was wondering who has dremeled out their ris to fit a battery? i was thinking of doing that to fit a nun-chuck battery. if anyone has done this and can do it again, i would like to learn/have you dremel out my ris for me.
Will the battery fit if you just remove the "heat shield" from the lower part of the RIS?
Ok Ronin, KNUCKLE UP!
i would think a RIS is way too small in diameter to contain a num chuck...i wouldnt even try it because in a normal CA m15 foregrip, it fits snug, and thinse are a lot larger then the RIS. So yeah i wouldnt even try dude, i would get a PEQ.
I doubt it would fit. I'm currently using a 7.2v 2100mah lithopoly battery and it wont fit in the mosq. molds ris, or a GG ris. I have a Nitro (first factory/angs) PEQ unit that helps me house the battery.
for batteries to fit in the handguard you need the tapered outer barrel otherwise it won't fit no matter how much you dremel that ris

thats the thing, i would also need a new barrel, and i wouldnt have to dremel it out that much, just a spot on each side of the barrel (opposite of each other) and it would fit in there. im just sick of my crane stock, and i want something with a cleaner look that with a bulky peq. my buddy gave me the idea of having custom batteries made to fit just the buffer tube of the crane, and to put a regular retractable on there. looks like thats what im gonna do, so does anyone have a crane stock buffer tube they want to sell?

In close range combat, an unsuspecting melon will get the back of its melon blown off.
you shouldn't need to dremel with the tapered barrel. That's what they are designed for to give space to add the mini batteries into the foregrip. You can get decent quality GP 2000mAh NiMh that has a 30amp discharge rating at 9.6v. If you're looking to fit the sub-c batteries in the foregrip I don't think that's possible unless you want to wait for Star's new battery carrier. It's supposed to look like the surefire m800 tactical foregrip flashlight and hold a 9.6v 3300mAh batteries.

no, but the taperd barrel thing is something i need to look into more
