Longer barrel and the look. Thats the diff. Functionally, the longer barrel can give you better accuracy and longer range.

anyone have experience with both?

I don't own either of em, but i gave used the AKB to somewhat of an extent. I like the compactness of it, and the looks. I haven't used the AK47 enough to really compare it, but id probably like it better do to the larger size. Hope this helped.

i have used the ak beta also and i loved it but i would go with the full size because it more accurate than the beta..

AKB is kinnda hoak, not based on a real gun and I dont like that. I have had alot of AKs, I would just say go for an AKS or full sized AK.

like hellion said - AkB has shorter barrel (less accurate), different look. other than that, same gearbox, reliability. i have an AkB, and have used full size Ak's. the AkB is a "drempt up" weapon by marui, vs. the highly manufactured Kalashnikov. the AK reciever is a replica of the milled russian model.

yeah shawns right...mickey's MP7 shoots close to the same distance as his m14...and the MP7 barrel is like 3 times as small... but the AKB does have a nice ROF stock. either gun is nice, just depends on what you like.

my mistake, sorry for the bad info.

I have both. As far as accuracy goes, lets not forget that a longer barrel means farther distance between the sights usually. This also lend to addition accuracy in most cases. But anyway, I do not have the experience that Snoopy has for sure... but in my experience with my M4's. A tight bore definitely increases the grouping for me outdoors. Thats just my findings tho and I could have been in an altered state when I was testing.

I habe an ugraded AKB, and it's really not as accurate as some full sized-AK's i've seen (out past 30-40 yards), but it's got just as much range and power. Snoopy's right there, as usual .

i have a stock AKB and an upgraded m4, the akb shoots almost as far as my 400 fps m4 and just as accurate, I like the beta because its more of cqb weapon and i didnt have one, but the full size ak you can convery to real wood.
