I personally only know of the Tanaka Mauser K98. It's a gas rifle and is supposed to be a VERY nice rifle but very pricey as well. It has an all wood stock with all metal barrel and pretty powerful with decent accuracy as well. Although it's pretty expensive and actually costs more than most of the real steel ones you can purchase now. It'll run for $500+. The real ones you can find for as little as around $300 and up. I have my eye on a nice yugoslav(sp?) one myself.
airsoft the tanaka 98k is the best. I have had one for over 2 and a half years now its one of my favorite rifles. PM specialforces he is selling one.
Can it take green? If so, I just found a nicer rifle than the m700 with easier access gas.
screw the yugo k's most of them are M48 mausers any ways
I shoot Table Gypsies on sight!
I was thinking about maybe getting an old retired one from WWII but I want something practical to shoot with. The refurbs need some work before you can reliably shoot them on a regular basis. At least the recently made knock offs are cheap, reliable, work well, and need very little in maintenance to run peachy.
