ok guys so im gonna be new to airsoft i have been playing paintball for about 4 years but have decided that it costs way to much these days to play so im looking to get into something newi wanted to know yor views on this gun. i am kinda wanting a nicer g36 something with a higher fps but really dont want to dish out 500 fir one. here is the xm8 it is a cheap one so i just want to know ur ideas
ummmmm no. get a Tokyo Mauri or Classic Army g36c for like 275 to 300
yeah the whole "you get what you pay for" comes into play in airsoft...i would say save up, get a nice gbb, or save up even more and get a TM or CA...i would suggest a AK beta spetz, cheap, great gun, little to no barrel wobble, and can hold a large battery without modification(a 8.4v, no 9.6v in this gun.) then just put a m100 and tb or something in it and your good. it also has a built in rail for a vert grip or anything in the front. i would say save up, get the gun that seems nice to use, and continue on from there by buying stuff for that one gun.
ok thanks for info. I figured as much. i have plenty of money but insurence is currently a B for me at the moment lol. plus new car on the way so maybe ill sell of my gear and or trade for a TM or CA g36 on the boards. i apreaciate ur help guys and ill hope to see u guys on the fields soon. I may drop into the event sunday to check it out so maybe ill see some of u guys there. c ya
im new to airsoft also. im not on a pro team or anything like that, and i play it purely for fun with my friends. since i have little to no income, i started looking for a good gun for cheap. what i found was a Palco Firepower M8 (M8 and XM8 are the same gun) for $150 at gander mountain (you can find them online also) . its a very very good gun for the cost. it shoots 350 fps/.2, its about 5-6 pounds, very high rate of fire, durable (its made of ABS and has pegs keeping it together) , and very reliable. ive been looking online at C-mags, and from what i can tell, all of the G36 guns take the same clip as the M8/XM8, so if you wanted a C-mag for the M8, you can get that, then if you ever get a CA or TM G36 you can just use the same clips. PM me if you have any questions. good luck and have fun.

Like Monkey said a few months ago, you get what you pay for. and FYI...those Cmags may not fit. Currently I have a CA H&K 36C (which I slowly turning it into a MG36) and to my knownleadge....I dunno what the hell or who the hell "Palco Firepower" is. Best bet, and a good way to save cash, is don't waste getting it and go with a Classic Army or Tokyo Mauri G36, then get the XM8 Kit ( however, the kit doesn't allow for extras to be added on via rails )
not to be a Penis, but after your done reading all of the Noob advice, ignore it.
