Just Looking for thoughts on these two pistols the non-blowback versions as i'm looking for something dead quiet, as i understand the socom is a big pistol so i'm not sure if its right for me but any thoughts on one or both of these would be great.

I love my TM Mk23. I would have to say that it is one of the funnest guns I have ever owned. In my short time having it, I have racked up some good silent kills. It is super quiet and accurate with .25's and green gas. I agree that it is a big pistol. I don't really like to rapid fire it because it tends to reduce accuracy due to the long trigger pull, but it is great for slow, aimed shots. Overall, a great gun.
i haven't found one yet but is there a metal slide (for realism & weight) out there somewhere that can replace the plastic one the mk23 comes with....?
Hmmm... I havent heard about a metal slide for the TM Mk23. Honestly you dont need it. It is a heavy pistol as is. And since it is NBB you dont have to worry about cracking the slide. I might be at AZ Sunday night. You could try out my gun to see if you like it.
