New airsoft store planning to open...looking for input
Hello, my name is Nick, and my partners and me are planning to open an Airsoft retail store in Modesto Ca, called Delta Airsoft. We don't have a definite location yet, right now we are still in the preliminary processes. We are trying to do some market research first. What we would like to know from you guys is what products you would like us to provide, and what are some qualities you are looking for in an airsoft store. We are planning to sell mostly spring and gas pistols, gas and bb's, and Tokyo Mauri M4's/Mp5s until we can get enough money to purchase a wider range of AEGs. We will be focusing on selling high quality products, and offering a two-week money back guarantee. We do not have a website yet, but we do have an email address at deltaairsoft@gmail.com. We probably won't have an online store until we get established, but we should have one in the future. Any information you can provide or would like to contribute would be appreciated. We are also looking for an airsoft technician, if you are one or know one let us know.

Some ideas of things to have till you have the resources for a full store
Since you don't have a definate location yet, you might want to concider San Bernardino county towards San Bernardino city side. It's kinda rediculous that we're the largest county in the country yet we don't have an airsoft store. You have to either order online, go to L.A. county, or down to San Diego. Redlands has a place called Airsoft Outpost, but they aren't very known and ONLY sell CA guns and do not do any work or anything. It would be nice to actually WALK INTO a store without having to freakin drive 3 hours to get to one.
or try vacaville/fairfield>>> small, but up-and-coming towns between two major cities: san francisco and sacramento. all connected by interstate 80!
Uh guys, they have a location as in it will be in Modesto, Ca but they do not have a physical location as of yet in that city.
Pygmy Militia Group
Any relation to Delta Archery?
Ok Ronin, KNUCKLE UP!
Sorry, maybe I wasn't clear on our location. freq88 is right, we are planning on being in Modesto, we just don't have a building yet. We will have a shooting range with a chonograph at the store for people to test their guns. We will be selling parts in the future but not when we open. We will have gear and stuff like that though. Hopefully if the store does well we can open a field to play at as well, but thats for later.

will you guys do upgrades/repairing guns?
I would start playing airsoft today. with local Airsoft players. get into the comunuty. AEX is so succsesful becuase the Staff aer Sacair memebers. we would rather do buisness with our friends than some stranger. also it plugs you into game times and alows you to know when to carry alot of ammo and extra parts like pistons and pinion gears. becuase when there are large games you need that stuff. if there isnt a modesto Airsoft forum, start one. get a comunity going and you will have a client base.
Until we can get a qualified technician, we wont be doing repairs. We might be doing simple upgrades though. Good ideas guys, thanks for you help. We also plan on sponsoring a team or two, as well as having our own.

Hey Nick. I talked to you online a while back via e-mail (representing the non-gigantic-field ModestoAirsoft). :)
Gun control is not Crime control.
www.modestoairsoft.com this is our forums for airsoft players around modesto, we have around 20 people every weekend that we were playing. WERE is the key word, TID said we couldnt play on our fied any more so now we do not have a place to play. SO if you get a place to play please contact us! About the store, Around this area alot of people got started playing buying cheap spring pistols from BIg 5 and such, so if u decide to carry spring, please make them good quality, hfc, tm, etc. But for sure you guys need gbb, and aegs.
www.evike.com I"M FROM the 209!! HIT ME UP I"M DIEING TO PLAY!
id say elk grove. since the nearest store is 30 minutes away w/ no traffic. but ya. my 2 cents.
newb, but a savage newb at that.
They already have sort of an airsoft shop in Ripon which is close to Modesto. AEX is pretty much the place to be since they have locations/fields, customer relations, and experts on airsoft.

welll i would suggest getting some good bb's bc i have to order them from airsoftatkanta.com constantly bc they are the only airsoft store around that carries inertia black bb's and those are the best ones yet.
Ummm no, inertia blacks suck

Make sure you are easy to find off the freeway, Get one of those free webpage deals and just put your location and phone #s out there so people see you(you dont need an online store). Get a couch for the guys who live there(yes, people will be there all the time). Try to stock Western Arms GBBs. :) AE/toytech/excel bbs are the way to go for regular AEG/GBBs(make sure you stock both .2 and .25s). Good luck.
In close range combat, an unsuspecting melon will get the back of its melon blown off.
well the inertia bb's work for me what bb's u use?
Ok, if any of you have been to Modesto Hobby and Craft and have an RC car or truck than you know about the great service they have there. The guys that work at the back counter there can fix like anything and can answer almost any question. They will install any upgrade or replacement part for free if you need them to. You guys need to get something like this goin at your new store. Maybe you should check out by the new Target and stuff for a location.
make the store in Cameron Park.
Silly CP already has Respit Dog or some shiat
advertise your sales on sacair and keep your prices low so i can get a good deal
Theres an empty lot on McHenry. It goes back pretty far but you would have to build ur own store. It is kinda across from 7/11, there used to be a gas station there.
wow, this is old but I still remember this thread. Does anybody know if this store has open up yet? :?:
